Following the release of their debut single “John Peel We Miss You,” Foreign Pavement return with “The Geometry of Movement,” a stark and hypnotic follow-up that deepens the duo’s monochrome world of post-punk tension, cold-wave atmosphere, and emotional precision.
Built around imagery of cold stone, grey skies, shattered glass, and shifting light, “The Geometry of Movement” feels both intimate and architectural — a song shaped by stillness, repetition, and release. Its lyrics move through patterns, angles, refraction, and transformation, arriving at a haunting final dissolution: “The lines are blurred / Gone / Just gone.” The accompanying cover artwork echoes that atmosphere with brutalist forms, empty space, shadowed figures, and bold graphic intensity.
With “The Geometry of Movement,” Foreign Pavement continue to carve out a distinctive identity rooted in movement, memory, and stark beauty. The new single is set for release soon on otticmusic / otticmusic AI.
